I designed this project in my Graphic Design I class. The goal of the project was to research and create a new album cover for an album I connected with. I chose Billy Joel's The Stranger and after listening to the album multiple times, I sketched multiple ideas of a new version of the album cover could look like. I wanted the piece to encapsulate the album as a whole. Using Adobe Photoshop, I cut out each image, creating a collage to represent the woman's hair, as well as her life. On top of creating the front and back of the album cover, I created sample merchandise using Adobe Photoshop.
I designed this project in my Graphic Design I class. The goal was to create a logotype for a specific kind of business. I chose an architecture firm and decided on a font choice and color palette based on that. Then, I used Photoshop to create hyperrealistic mockups of business cards, websites, etc.
I designed this project in my Visual Communication class. The goal was to create branding for a gallery as well as a specific showing the hypothetical gallery would be showing. My chosen name for my art gallery is the Imperador Gallery. The showcase I chose was a photography exhibition of underwater life. I was instructed to use my own name as the exhibitionist simply as an example. I was able to use Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to bring this gallery to life. I used mockups I found online to create hyperrealistic examples of what the Imperador Gallery would look like inside and outside as well as social media pages like Instagram and Facebook.
I designed this project in my Visual Communication class. The goal was to create an album cover using a randomly generated image. I used both Photoshop and Illustrator to cut up the image and add other visual elements like the line work.
I designed this set of posters in my Graphic Design I class. The goal of the project was to visually represent three design elements using one object that I created in Adobe Illustrator. The three design elements I chose include balance, scale, and contrast.
Each poster was required to have a different color palette, including anaglous, complementary, and monochromatic.
This project gave me a better understanding of the elements of design as well as the way colors interact with one another.
I designed this poster in my Graphic Design I class. The goal was to visually combine the two meanings of one word. I landed on the word cat, using the definition of the animal and the jazz player. I used Illustrator to create this project.
I designed this poster for a jazz combo. They were looking for something fun and simple that would encourage people to attend their event. I chose the color orange because I felt it drew attention to the name of the band as well as giving it a jazzy feel.
I wanted their band name, "J-Livi & The Party", to be the main focus of this poster. J-Livi, the creator of the jazz combo, plays trombone, so I also wanted to include that. Besides the name of the band, the fact that it was a free show was an important message. I designed three versions of this poster: one for an Instagram story, one for an Instagram post, and finally, one to be printed.
I designed this poster for my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. He is a lover of movies and finds joy displaying movie posters on his walls, so I wanted to design something he would love!
I took inspiration from other movie posters I have seen, making sure to include a title, movie "actors", a rating, director's credit, etc. Then, I chose images that reflected some of the highlights of our first year together. Throughout the entire process of creating this poster, I used Illustrator to design my vision.
