I really love this photo. I was taking photographs in downtown Des Plaines when the rain began to downpour. This photo was taken during that time. I felt that this photo in black and white was more interesting than in color, as it brings out the contrast between the darks and light within the photograph.
While experimenting with my camera's focus features, I took this photo last summer. It is one of my favorite photos as I feel it does a great job highlighting the beauty of my dad's sunflowers. The camera did an excellent job capturing the bright yellow color, and I like that the sunflowers are slightly to the side as it creates a nice balance between the flowers and the background.
I have always loved taking photos of the moon. I wanted to capture the essence of what I feel when looking at the moon, and I think that this picture does a good job of that. I like how the moon is framed by the branches of the trees. The moon is the main focus, and I love how the detail in the craters is visible.
